The Ellery Hotel Northampton, Northampton

I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The rooms were spotlessly clean and incredibly cozy, making for a perfect night's sleep. The only downside was that the rooms looked nothing like the photographs provided. The service was a bit hit or miss, with some staff members being extremely helpful, especially Ida and another cheerful young man, but others were not as attentive. The location was just what I needed, close to downtown and the college, perfect for exploring the area. The dining experience was a delight, especially with the variety of breakfast options available. I also enjoyed the modern and intimate dining setting. Overall, a great stay with some room for improvement!

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms had a more than moderate smell of mildew, reminiscent of hotels I stayed in on Military bases, and the cycling on-and-off noise all night was bothersome. However, the staff was very kind and helpful, reviving this property to its original glory. The location, being right across the street from Smith College in a college-dominated neighborhood near the center of town, was convenient for exploring both Florence and Northampton.

However, the thin walls made it a bit noisy at times. The dining experience was delightful, especially with the variety of breakfast options available. Overall, a great value for the quality of the stay.
